An idyllic restaurant, set in the 16th arrondissement, stands the new restaurant everyone in Paris is talking about. Offering oceanic cuisine, in the spirit of Summer, Girafe elevates their menu with precision and sophistication. The restaurant is the manifestation of duo, Laurent Gourcuff and Giles Malafosse- also the founders of Monsieur Bleu and Loulou. In the City of Architecture, Girafe offers an unmatched view of the Eiffel Tower from the terrace.
The interior setting is matched by a marble bar, tropical plants, original pillars and mirrored tables, creating a breathable atmosphere, spacey as if the sea. Laurent Gourcuff and Gilles Malafosse’s latest restaurant is decorated by Joseph Dirand. Dishes that are bursting with life, derived of the freshest ingredients- the seafood can be seen from the counter upon entering the restaurant- is a value quickly becoming recognized as Girafe’s own.
Chef Benoît Dargère takes the helm of the restaurant’s kitchen. Freshness and refinement marry to conceptualize Girafe’s menu. Trays of shellfish are served, where one may order lobster, or if preferred raw, céviche and sashimis are are offered. The céviche breathes modernity with coconut milk. The sashimi, served with jalapeno pepper and lime.
